Universal Law of Gravity

All objects in the universe attract each other with a force which is proportional to their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their centers.

In mathematical form the law is stated as:

where
Although the law is stated simply, it has wide reaching implications.   Not only did it require an incredible synthesis on Sir Isaac Newton's part to prove the law, but it also established him as one of the great geniuses of all time and dealt the final blow to the Aristotlean world which had been weakening since the time of Copernicus.

This law is still valid today in cases where the gravitational field is relatively weak, and has never been seriously challenged.   In fact, this law is used to launch satellites and to aim and control interplanetary spacecraft.

So this may not be the kind of gravity Peter was referring to on the Origin of the Feces release, but maybe you learned something while you were here.
